OBITUARY
KENNETH POTTER, 25, FOUND DEAD AT HOSPITAL
Kenneth W. Potter Jr., 25, of 21 Hampton Lane, Fairport, formerly of Westvale,
was found dead Monday in his bed at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center,
Ogdensburg, where he had been admitted Oct. 19, 1987. An autopsy is being
performed by St. Lawrence County Coroner Dr. Hugh Frame.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek,
with Rev. James Carr, pastor of the Mannsville United Methodist Church,
officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Mannsville.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth W. Potter Sr., Fairport; three
sisters, Mrs. Richard (Michele) Robertson, Syracuse, Mrs. Khininia (Debra)
Georges, Colony, Texas, and Peggy Sue Potter, Carrollton , Texas; three
brothers, Mark Patrick, Dallas, Texas, and David G. and Scott E., both of
Carrollton ; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Veley, Mannsville; a
niece, three nephews and several aunts and uncles.
Born in Syracuse Jan. 23, 1963, a son of Kenneth W. and G. Margaret Peggy''
Taylor Potter, he attended grammar school in Westvale, where he lived for 15
years. His family later moved to Carrollton , where they lived for 10 years. He
was graduated in 1982 from R.L. Turner High School, Carrollton . The family
returned to this area a short time ago.
