OBITUARY

Katy Pribble

Katy Pribble (Johnson), age 79, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on January 13, 2025, reuniting with her beloved husband, Dee Pribble.

Born on July 25, 1945, in Stephenville, Texas, to M.H. and Bertie Johnson, Katy was the youngest of four siblings. She excelled during her time at R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas, where she graduated in 1963. Among her many accomplishments, she served as Student Council Secretary, Lionettes Head Captain, and a member of the Senior Executive Committee. Her peers recognized her determination and spirit by voting her "Most Likely to Succeed."

After high school, Katy began her career at Texas Instruments. It was during this time that she met Dee Jay Pribble, the love of her life. The couple married on June 3, 1966, and together they built a beautiful life with their two sons, Scott and Breck.

Katy's professional journey included many years working as a bookkeeper and personal assistant for Mr. Bert Ladd until her retirement. She was also deeply committed to her faith as a longtime member of the Arvada Church of Christ. She found joy in leading children's ministries and vacation Bible school.

A passionate sports fan, Katy loved cheering on the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos. Her enthusiasm for life and devotion to her family were evident in everything she did.

Katy is survived by her sons, Scott (Dana) Pribble of Erie, CO, and Breck (Char) Pribble of Scottsdale, AZ; and five cherished grandchildren: Cole, Olivia, Ella, Addisson, and Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband Dee.

The family will honor Katy's life in a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club Foundation.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
