OBITUARY
PRICE, GLENNA JO, Funeral Services for Glenna Jo Lawrence Price of Sulphur
Springs will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sat. Dec. 23, 2006 in the League St. Church
of Christ in Sulphur Springs with Chris Shelby and Bavard Hill officiating.
Interment will follow in the Gafford Chapel cemetery with Lynn Lutrell, Brian
Baber, B.J. "Knob" Chapman, Grady Chapman, Jimmy Goldsmith, James Goldsmith, Don
McKinnery, Don Gumm, and Dr. David Minchey serving as pallbearers. Honorary
pallbearers will be Jack Baber and Steve Thurman. Visitation will be from 6 to 8
p.m. Friday at the Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs. She was a
member of the League st. Church of Christ, a member of the Eastern Star,
secretary and treasurer of the Birthright school reuniion committee, and was
inducted into the 50 year club at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She was a
retired teacher and librarian from the Mesquite ISD, having also taught in
Winnsboro, Carrollton, and Big Sandy, Tx. She taught for 35 years. She was a
graduate of SulphurSprings High School and received her Bachelor's and Master's
degrees from East Texas State University. She passed away at 4:30 p.m.Thursday
Dec. 21, 2006 in the East Texas Medical Center of Tyler. She was born on July
10, 1931 in the Tira community to Clovis and Lou Ella Henderson Lawrence. She
was married to Frankie Price on June 8, 1956 in Paris, Tx. He preceded her in
death in 2003. Survivors include 2 Daughters-Markeda Orwosky of Sulphur Springs
and Dr. Kayla Price of Mesquite, 1 sister-Eva Kennedy of Mesquite, 1
Grandson-Price Orwosky of Sulphur Springs. She was preceded in death by 3
sisters-Gearaldine Lawrence, Edwina Cross, and Clarine Byrd. Memorials can be
made to the American Heart Association or a charity of choice. Murray-Orwosky
