Obituary for Thomas Allen Rainey
May 10, 1939 - March 25, 2018

THOMAS ALLEN RAINEY, age 78, of Holiday Island, AR left this world to join Jesus in heaven on March 25, 2018. He was born May 10, 1939 in Farmers Branch, Texas to Robert and Edna (Coffee) Rainey.
Tom retired form Texas Instruments in Dallas after 30 years of service. He also retired from the Coppell Police Department as a Sgt. in the Coppell Police Reserve after 13 years of service.
Tom and his wife, Jo Ann Pirtle were united in marriage on August 6, 1960. He and Jo Ann bought acreage in Eureka Springs, AR and built a home on Beaver Lake in 1995. Tom was the Music Minister at Thorncrown Chapel for 8 years, retiring in 2004. In 2012 they sold their home and moved to Peachtree Village in Holiday Island, AR.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jo Ann (Pirtle) Rainey, of the home; two children, daughter, Christi Lynne Mangner and husband T.J of Vancouver, WA, son, Christopher Scott Rainey and wife, Christi of North Richland Hills, TX; five grandchildren, Thomas Ryan Adams, Kelsey Mangner, Maddie Mangner, Caitlin Rainey, Aleya Rainey and Judah Rainey. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mike Rainey and Robert Rainey.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11:00AM at Holiday Island First Baptist Church in Holiday Island, AR with Bro. Steve Ward officiating.
