Obituary for Gerald "Jerry" Dwain Randles
Gerald “Jerry” Dwain Randles of Rockwall, TX, passed away May 4, 2018, at the age of 71. Jerry was born September 6, 1946, in Dallas, TX, to G.W. “Dub” Randles Jr., and Doris Faye (Pigg) Randles. He graduated from R.L. Turner High School in 1965, and Texas Tech University in 1970, with a BBA in Finance and was a member of the “Going Band from Raiderland.” After graduation, Gerald proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Upon release from service, he returned to the Dallas area for a career in the banking industry. Jerry was an avid reader, student of World War II and loved World War II vintage airplanes. His hobbies included photography and scuba diving. His favorite place to be was on the beach and near the ocean.

Jerry is survived by Cathy, his wife of 43 years and best friend. He loved to be around his family and dive buddy friends. He is survived by his only sister, Janis Pratt and her husband Robert, along with their daughter, Kelly Beale. Jerry was loved by Cathy’s family and is survived by his mother-in-law: Jacqueline Jones; Cathy’s sister: Cindy Germeroth and husband Paul, and their daughter Lilly; and Cathy’s brother: Therron Bryant and wife Julie, and their son Wesley. In addition, he had a special place in his heart for our Aunt Mary Dell Long and her two daughters and their families, Ronda Kersey and Becca Greenwood.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held 2:00pm Saturday, June 2, 2018, Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Location. Memorials in Jerry’s name can be made to the American Stroke Association at 10900-B Stonelake Blvd., Ste. 320, Austin, TX 78759 or online at www.strokeassociation.org.
