Prisma Rangel
May 12, 1982 - November 26, 2023

Prisma Rangel, 41, of Carrollton, Texas, peacefully passed away on November 26, 2023 surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with Breast Cancer. Prisma is survived by many loving individuals, including her son, Andres Rodriguez, mother Magdalena “Elena” Rangel, her brother Jorge Rangel and sisters Evelyn Rangel-Cruz and Betty Rangel. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Her family roots ran thick and had a very close bond with her cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Meliton Rangel and her brother Alfredo Rangel.

Prisma was an amazing mother to Andres, he was her pride and joy and came first in everything she did. She was a friend to many, and could brighten up any room that she was in. She always knew how to make you laugh, but was the first to make sure you were alright and if you needed anything she was the one that was going to do it for you.

She attended local Carrollton-Farmers Branch schools, where she later became a teacher. She taught for over 15 years where she spent most of her teaching career teaching Kindergarten and First grade. She was always searching ways to reach all of her students. The students that were in her class became her kids, she wanted all of her students to feel success and always wanted the best for their future.

Prisma loved The Golden Girls, 90’s R&B Hip Hop, spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed cooking. Just recently, she had been sharing her passion of cooking with Andres. She will be dearly missed by so many that truly love Prisma. She made an impact on so many lives that she touched.

A visitation for Prisma will be held on Friday, December 8th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm, at Calvary Hill funeral home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220. A funeral service will occur Saturday, December 9th, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home A graveside service will occur right after the funeral.
