Services for R. R. (Bob) Reed, 49, of 3823 Waldorf Circle, manager of oil business tubular good sales for  Lone Star Steel Co., will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Restland Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Reed died Thursday night in Presbyterian Hospital after a brief illness.
Reed, a native of Carrollton, received a bachelor's degree in business administration from North Texas State University.  He joined Lone Star Steel as a sales trainee the year he was graduated.
Reed moved up through Lone Star's ranks, winning the company's "Salesman of the Year" award in 1961 and moving into the executive sales office in 1971 as an assistant sales manager.  He was promoted to manager in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; two daughters, Elise Reed and Mrs. Tom Ruggert; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reed; and a brother, Louis Reed Jr.
