OBITUARY
Hermann
Hans Reicher
November 23, 1941 ~ January 18, 2021 (age 79)
Hermann Hans Reicher, of Groesbeck, passed away January 18, 2021
in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 79. Graveside services will
be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2021 in the LaSalle
Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at
Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Hans was born November 23, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Hermann
Edward Jones, Sr. and Willie Belle Durham Jones, the oldest of
four boys. He has lived in the Limestone County area for almost
35 years. He was a self-employed truck driver and worked for
various companies. He was also the owner of H & B Cattle Company
Hans loved the country and especially enjoyed raising cattle on
his ranchette in Lost Prairie. He had recently begun building a
big barn on his land. He also enjoyed buying and collecting old
cars. He was a big fan of Rock & Roll and in his younger days,
Hans managed a Rock band that toured throughout Texas and
Oklahoma. There were even times when he would take his younger
brother, Ronald, on some of the tours. In some of his spare time
he liked to get out his base guitar and do a little pick’n and
grin’n of his own.
Hans was outgoing and made friends easily but there was one
thing for sure, he vowed he would never be a married man, he
enjoyed the single life too much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hermann and Belle
Jones; and brother, Joseph Siddons.
Hans is survived by two brothers, Ronald Cox of Fate, TX and
James Siddons of Lynchburg VA; two daughters, Meagan England of
Spraytown, IN and Meranda Medina Harp of Anna, TX; and two
grandsons, James Michael Simpson of Tyler, TX and Shooter W.

I discovered last week that we lost another of our
classmates, Hans Reicher, in January of this year.
When he went to school with us, he was known as Eddie Jones but changed
his name to Hans Reicher reflecting both ancestral names and his German
heritage.
Hans (Eddie) was a member of our class through the 9th grade. He went to
school in the 6th & 7th grade in FB, then the 8th and part of the 9th
before he dropped out.
He and his family lived two doors down from me during that time.
While he wasn’t part of the Senior Class of ’61 since he dropped out,
(as Tom Redding did), I feel his obit should be listed with other
members of the Class of ’61.
Additionally, he attended our 40th & 45th reunions.
