Life, Love and Legacy∞

As the bible says, we are all fearfully and wonderfully made, and that was true for Jesus Lionel Reyna. He was a man who was certainly set apart- quite an original; he was never one to follow the crowd or cave to the standard quo. That’s why so many people loved him, for he was a no non-sense kind of man. He was transparent, never hesitated to speak up and wasn’t afraid to do what his heart desired. But while he seemed rough around the edges, he had such a big heart for humanity. He was never one to turn away his family. He was there to provide in any way that he could as well as be a shield of protection for them- a family oriented man indeed. Little babies were his favorite, finding a baby in his arms was never a surprise. They were drawn to him in such a special way. He had a great sense of humor and gentleness that was very inviting.

Jesse was a Chevy man, a natural-born mechanic. God gives us all a gift, and God had truly gifted Jesse’s hands and mind in that area of preservation and restoration of automobiles. He could restore a vehicle and make it look like new again. Some people have an eye for it, and Jesse accurately was gifted to bring life and restoration to a vehicle that seemed to be destroyed. It was not about selfish glory or money; he was doing what he was passionate and called to do. He found his purpose in life, and he dedicated his time to perfect that gift from God.

He was proud to be a Vietnam veteran, serving his country in the United States Army. He finally began sharing his Vietnam stories on his experience during the war shortly before leaving this earth. These stories will be deeply cherished by all.

Jesse had his own personal relationship with God. He wasn’t a regular at church assembly; however, he and his wife faithful watched Sunday sermons from Pastors Joel Osteen and Robert Morris as their messages about Jesus Christ were a source of hope, strength and encouragement. He gave his life to Christ Jesus on Easter of 2015 at Gateway Church in Grand Prairie, Texas- becoming a solider in the army of the Lord, for he made Jesus his Lord and Savior. When he attended church, it was always at the local catholic assembly, returning to his roots. The bible has a passage of Scripture that reads, “ We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord”. Although Jesse will be missed, he is in a better place-no more pain. And if you are in Christ, you will see Jesse again in heaven. Be encouraged and celebrate the life, love and legacy of a great man, Jesus “Jesse” Reyna.
