Thomas Edward Riche, 64 of Mechanicsville, MD died October 24, 2014 at Hospice House of St. Mary's surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 28, 1950 in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late, Benjamin Lloyd Riche and Eleanor Jane Kline Riche.

Thomas graduated from R. L. Turner High School in Carrollton, TX in 1968. He proudly served in the United States Navy from February 7, 1969 to his honorable discharge on May 4, 1984 in Antisubmarine Warfare. He spent many years travelling the United States as a commercial truck driver, with his favorite destinations being Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA and Los Angeles, CA. While in the Navy, his favorite deployment was in Taiwan, were he enjoyed the culture, people and food. His hobbies included, hunting, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves, waterskiing, bowling and fixing trucks. He was a very good mechanic. He enjoyed listening to country music. However, his family was his greatest achievement, and he loved to spend his time with them.

Thomas is survived by his children, Richard Riche (Rhonda) of Lexington Park, MD and Judy Riche (Brent) of Winchester, OH; his brothers, Jim Riche (Frances) of Atlanta, GE and David Riche (Mary) of Orlando, FL; and his granddaughter, Rachel Riche of Lexington Park, MD.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Brackett and Richard Riche.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated by Reverend John Ball on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Mary's City, MD. Interment will be held at a later late at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, TX.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice House of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
