Grimes Rippner
June 14, 1966 - July 10, 2018Donna Grimes Rippner was
born June 14, 1966 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to parents Don
William and Shirley Ann (Garlichs) Grimes.
She lived in Austin, Texas from age 9 to age 12 and then moved
to Carrollton, Texas. Donna graduated from Newman Smith High
School in 1984. After graduating from high school she attended
UT Dallas and graduated in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree. While
attending UT Dallas she met David Rippner, who then became her
husband on January 13, 1990.
Donna and David moved to Allen, Texas in 1992 and soon after,
their first child Chelsea was born on December 20, 1994. Almost
5 years later, Donna gave birth to their second daughter Allison
on November 12, 1999.
Donna excelled in multiple careers, including teaching, banking,
and business administrative positions. She was a dedicated,
loving mother who devoted her life to her family and loved ones.
She enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her dogs.
She also enjoyed going to see concerts, traveling, dining out,
and shopping. Donna was always the life of the party and so much
fun to be around. She was genuine, caring, compassionate,
loving, smart, and had a great sense of humor. Donna took the
most pride in being a mother and taking care of her girls. Donna
was truly beautiful inside and out and will be greatly missed.
Donna is survived by her loving daughters Chelsea Nicole and
Allison Brooke Rippner and their father David Rippner, father
Don W Grimes and his wife Sheryl, mother Shirley McNally,
sisters Susan Rosen and her husband Howard, Natalie Long and her
husband Jeff, step sister Julia Norwood Ranki, step-brother
Daniel Norwood, uncle Mike Grimes, aunt Cindy Grimes Green,
nephews Kelvin and Keaton Kleinfall and many other family
members and loving friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held
Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. at Cottonwood Creek Church,
1015 Sam Rayburn Tollway, Allen, Texas 75013 with Pastor Dennis
George officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior
to service. |
