OBITUARY

ROBERTS, A. J.
72, a longtime resident of Farmers Branch, died Monday April 3, 2006 in RHD Hospital after a long illness. Service will be Thurs. April 6, 2006, 11 AM, in the First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, 13017 Wm. Dodson Pkwy, Farmers Branch, Texas with Rev. Sam Underwood officiating. Interment will be in Restland Cemetery under the direction of North Dallas Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wed. April 5, 2006 @ North Dallas Funeral Home. Auther Jean Roberts was born February 15, 1934 at Paris, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, was a 1952 graduate of Carrollton High School and attended the  University of Texas at Arlington, and served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War. A. J. married Billey Loyce  Baldwin on November 19, 1971 in Farmers Branch. He is preceded in death by his parents, Auther Roberts and Margie Cagle Roberts, and great-granddaughter Hope Loyce Lawrence. Survivors include his wife, Billey Roberts of the home; two sons and their wives, Gregory & Linda Grindstaff and Russell & Holly Grindstaff; grandchildren, Tasha Lyne Lawrence of Florida and Joshua Glenn Grindstaff of Farmers Branch; great-grandchildren Vanora Lawrence and Skye Lawrence of Florida; and many family members and friends. Pallbearers will be his former Carrollton High School football teammates; Jimmy Hill, Relzy Zetty, Joe Brunson, Alvin Chapman, Gayle Parrish. Honorary: Billy Carl Pearson. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, The American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
