OBITUARY
Services set for Richard D.A. Russell
Graveside services for Richard D.A. Russell, a former economics
professor at Texas Christian University, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at
Webb Chapel Cemetery
in Dallas.
Mr. Russell, 88, died of complications of a stroke Wednesday at Medical
City Dallas Hospital.
Mr. Russell, a Dallas native, moved to Chicago and attended Northwestern
University after graduating from high school. He worked for the parks
department in Chicago until moving back to Dallas in the early 1950s,
according to family members.
Mr. Russell then began working as a economics consultant for General
Dynamics and taught courses part-time at TCU in Fort Worth. He retired
from General Dynamics in 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Gray Russell of Dallas; a son, David
Gray Russell of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; a grandson, David Ross Russell of
Euless; and seven great-grandchildren.
