Herman Carlton Russell III
December 19, 1983 - November 24, 2022

It was 5:28 AM in Chicago on a cold, wintry morning. The temperature hovered around 0 degrees. Weighing 8 pounds 14 ounces, Herman Russell III was born. He transitioned on November 24, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.

Herman, also regarded as "Bigg Herm" or "Exodus", was born to the parentage of Herman and Deborah Russell. He graduated from Creekview High School in Carrollton, Texas. He later attended Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois, Dallas Sound Lab, and the Art Institute of Dallas where his focus was Sound Engineering. Herman was employed by FedEx and Enterprise Rent-A-Car over the years.

Herman accepted Christ at an early age at St. Stephen A.M.E Church in Chicago, Illinois. He later attended Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas. With a loving, gruff but sensitive nature, Herman was known for being fiercely protective of his friends and family. Herman had a natural talent for painting and music.

Herman was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Ernest (Papa) and Gloria Hunter, who affectionately called him "Hammerhead", and Robert and Ella Eva Key. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife of six years, Sidney Claire Russell; three adorable children: Journi Vaughn, Chloe Russell, and Hunter Russell; parents, Herman and Deborah Hunter Russell; loving sister, Ayana Russell Griffin (Jonathan); niece, Sydney Griffin; nephew, Jonathan Griffin, Jr.; five uncles; four aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends.
