OBITUARY

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR ROY RUSSELL, JR.

Roy Russell, Jr. of Irving, killed Friday when thrown from a motorcycle was buried Sunday following services at 2:30 p.m. in Irving's First Baptist Church.
Officiating were Revs. Earl W. Johnson, C. E. Collett, and Jack Merritt. Interment was in Baccus Cemetery of Collin County, near Frisco.
Mr. Russell died following an accident last Friday when he was thrown off a motorcycle on Highway 183 near Irving.
He was 28 years of age and had lived in the Irving community for several years. After attending school at Carrollton and North Texas Agricultural College, Arlington, he served three and one-half years in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laverne Russell, 619 S. Britain St., Irving.
Arrangements were in charge of Black's Funeral Home, Irving.
