OBITUARY

SAMPLE, C. BELL. It is with sadness we share the loss of our loved one. Born December 3, 1914 in Smiley, TX and died September 4, 2004 in Dallas, TX. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin he continued his education at SMU, Dallas acquiring his CPA. Mr. Sample was a member of the First Baptist Church, Farmers Branch, TX for 50 years. He served on the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School board in the late fifties. He began his career in 1938 at Southwestern Wholesale Drug retiring in 1980 as their Financial Executive Vice-President. Mr. Sample was a Mason for over 50 years. He was recognized in Who's Who In America 1972-1973. Mr. Sample was an active member of the Financial Executive Institute, beginning in 1956. He is preceded in death by his sons, Gary Bell and Lanny Ray Sample. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 66 years, Claudia T. Sample, Dallas. Daughters, Monette Owen, Coppell, TX and Donna Whitworth, Conroe, TX. Four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. His sister-in-law, Jimmie Sample and a host of nieces and nephews. C. Bell Sample will lie in state at Rhoton Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2004. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004, First Baptist Church, 13017 William Dodson, Farmers Branch, TX. Rev. Sam Underwood, officiating. Entombment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Farmers Branch. Dignity Memorial Rhoton Funeral Home I35 at Crosby Rd.
