JUNE 27, 1957 – AUGUST 18, 2023It is with great sorrow
and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Elaine Harp
Sann who passed away on August 18, 2023 in Carrollton, Texas.
Patricia was born June 27, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to the late Billy and
Lucille Harp. She grew up in Carrollton and attended Sunday school and
VBS at First Baptist Church of Carrollton, where she was baptized. She
always considered FBC her church home.
Patricia was a one-of-a-kind wife and mother. She loved to sit and watch
Food Network for hours with her husband, David. She loved to go shopping
with her daughter, Melissa, and FaceTime her just to see her grand dog,
Chance. Patricia absolutely loved to read, she would always read late
into the evening, often saying, one more chapter before bed then she
would look up and it would be 2 hours later. A fantastic cook, she loved
to share her delicious creations with friends, family and co-workers.
People often made special requests for their favorite dishes during the
holidays or any celebratory gathering. Patricia was an avid collector of
recipes and recipe books. She lavished love and cuddles on her 4-legged
pets. She enjoyed traveling to visit her sister in Virginia and, in
recent years, enjoyed small excursions and fun sightseeing trips with
her sister and sister-in-law. Above all other hobbies and interests,
Patricia was a caregiver to so many. In times of illness and need,
Patricia was always the first one to be by someone’s side, caring for
them and comforting them and helping out in any way possible.
Patricia was preceded in death by her Father, Billy Roy Harp; Mother,
Lucille Peddy Harp, and Brothers, Danny Lee Harp and Stephen Ray Harp.
She will be lovingly remembered by her Husband, David Sann; Daughter,
Melissa Sann; Sister, Linda Harp Thompson (Husband, Les); Sister-In-Law,
Charla Harwell Harp; Nieces and Nephews, Dana Lee Harp, Kristen Thompson
King, Lauren Thompson Clark (Husband Joe), Ryan Thompson, Lauren Brown,
Nathan Brown and 8 great nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Saturday, September 23rd,
2023 from 2pm – 5pm at Metrocrest Funeral Home, 1810 N Perry Rd.,
Carrollton, Texas 75006
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a memorial contribution
in honor of Patricia to Operation Kindess or the Pulmonary Fibrosis
Foundation. The links are provided below.
A memory box will be set up at Patricia’s funeral. If you have a special
memory of Patricia, a photo, or a special bible verse to share, please
bring this memento with you to place in the memory box to be given to
her daughter, Melissa. |
