OBITUARY
J.J. SCHUTZA
1973 - 2022
Mount Vernon - On Tuesday, October 11th, J.J. Brandon
Schutza, a beloved husband, loving father, devoted son and
friend to all, passed away. He was forty-nine. JJ spent his
youth in Dallas Texas surrounded by family. As a young adult
he moved to Friday Harbor Washington, where he met his wife
Heather, in the winter of 1994. They eloped to Las Vegas
Nevada and slowly grew their family by four amazing
children, several pets, exchange students, and were devoted
foster parents. JJ spent his career in the hospitality
business and was well respected and loved by his work
family. He always had a "people first" philosophy because he
knew when he took care of his work team, they would take
care of the customers. JJ was an amazing artist and enjoyed
incorporating his creations into his everyday life, whether
is was hand drawn cartoon characters in lunchboxes for the
kids, custom doodled name tags for employees, or a drawing
on a progress report instead of signature, his art brought
happiness to everyone around him. JJ enjoyed fantasy
football, Magic the Gathering and any random board game he
could get his hands on. All of this came second to spending
time with his family. He was sure to be found at every
soccer game, football game, volleyball game and band
concert. He enjoyed being Saturday morning short order cook
for his family. JJ is survived by his wife Heather Schutza,
their four beautiful children, and his mother Patricia
Schutza. A private memorial was held by family. |
