Rebecca Bramblitt Scott
May 28, 1938 - August 26, 2012


Rebecca Bramblitt Scott was born in Dallas, Texas, on May 28, 1938. She graduated from Richardson High School and attended Texas Women's University in Denton. On June 8, 1957, she married Kenneth Edward Scott, and they raised their family in Carrollton.

Beckey was very active in Carrollton Little League baseball and football, serving in the women's auxiliary. She enjoyed many outdoor activities with her family, including camping, boating, hunting, fishing, motorcycle and kart racing, and CB fundraisers. She loved family reunions, high school reunions, and traveling with extended family.

Beckey spent her thirty year career at Texas Instruments, and in 1985, she and Kenneth retired to East Texas and lived on Lake Palestine. One year later, she was preceded in death by her husband.

Beckey is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bradley & Lana Scott of Carrollton; daughter & son-in-law Belinda (Scott) & Larry Richardson of Lake Dallas; brother & sister-in-law Gary & Debbie Bramblitt of Denton; one nephew & spouse John & Jacqi Bramblitt of Denton; one great-nephew, two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Scott will be laid to rest at Hilltop Memorial Garden in Carrollton. Pall bearers are Dylan Sickich, Granger Lambert, John Bramblitt, Billy Bob Brady, B.J. Stegall and Jimmy Stegall.
