OBITUARY
Sewell, Sue Merlene Berry
Funeral services for Sue Merlene Berry Sewell, age 72 of Troup are scheduled
for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 27, 2009 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel
in Rusk. Interment will be in Sardis-Edgefield Cemetery under the direction of
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk. Mrs. Sewell died June 25, 2009 in a
Whitehouse Nursing Home. She was born October 4, 1936 in Sardis, TX to the late
Menyon and Billie Sue Harris Berry. Mrs. Sewell was a resident of Troup for 18
years formerly of Carrollton, TX. She was also a member of the Blackjack Baptist
Church in Troup, TX. Preceded in death by a son,
James Berry Sewell. She is
survived by her husband of 54 years, Monroe Sewell of Troup, son, Wes Sewell of
Dallas, TX, four daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail Long and husband Rusty of
Lewisville, TX, Melynda Gattis of Addison, TX, Jamie Clement and husband Greg of
Ft. Worth, TX, Lisa Sewell of Carrollton, eight grandchildren and one great
grandchild. Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time
Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may be made
to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami,
