OBITUARY
 
Sharp, Jerry Marie Age 84, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011. She was born on June 11, 1926, in Dallas, the sixth of eight children to the late Jim and Bell Hudler. Jerry owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years. She enjoyed dancing and fishing. Jerry was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard O. "Pete" Sharp; and six brothers and sisters. Jerry is survived by her son, Mike Sharp and his wife, Sylvia, of Sadler, TX; daughters, Judy Miller and her husband, Brad, of Frisco, TX and Jerry Lynn and her husband, Stephen Tomac of Carrollton, TX; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Shirley, Eva, Jennifer, Richard, Kathy, Gary, Mike and Paul; 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia & Jack Pierce of Farmers Branch, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 6-8pm in Rhoton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 9am in the funeral home with burial following in DFW National Cemetery.

HUSBAND'S OBITUARY

SHARP, LEONARD ODIS was the son of Jerry and Dora Lago Sharp. He was born on October 28, 1921, in Scurry, Texas. He was known as Pete or Papaw. Pete served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He then worked for the Railway Express for 10 years and retired in 1983 from Dallas County District No. 1 after 26 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Jerry Sharp, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Sylvia Sharp of Saddler, TX, two daughters and son-in-laws, Judy and Garland Smith of Dallas, TX; and Jerry and Steve Tomac of Carrollton, TX; one sister, Lila Boyles of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Michelle, Richard, Shirley, Kathy, Gary, Michael, Eva, Jennifer and Paul; 10 great grandchildren, Amanda, Michael Steven, Michael "Yepper", Linda, Destiny, Katelyn, Victoria, Alexandria, Cody and Claudia, a host of nieces and nephews, and his dog, girlfriend. Pete died from complications of a stroke. He had the stroke while enjoying a ride on a four wheeler at his son's farm. He went to be with His Lord and Savior on September 28, 2002. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2002 from 6-8 pm and Rhoton Funeral Home. Services will be held at Rhoton Funeral Home 1511 South Stemmons Freeway at Crosby Road, Carrollton, Texas on Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at 10:00 am, Military honors will follow the service at DFW National Cemetery.
