Goodbye to our beautiful friend, Bobbie Guitard Shelton

You were exactly that to all who had the pleasure to meet you, Bobbie. But, you were so much more.

You were the light in every room, especially “commanding” the stage at Casting Coffee Group.

But, you wouldn’t like that, you’d say, “Oh no, I’m just an old hippie leading a meeting.”

No, not just, you are a brilliant light, still shining brightly and indescribably warmly on all who knew you. And you will live on and on in all of our hearts.

You were a commander, a crusader, a healer, a true empathizer, a leader and a take-action HERO.

Whether we call you a heroine, an activist, an actor or friend, you are the most gorgeous, fiery, “old hippie” we ever had the chance to share some time with on this old rock.

I love and miss you.

To honor Bobbie’s life and legacy in your daily life please practice, kindness, patience and understanding with each other. In tribute, continue the fight for safe work practices on film sets.

Deepest condolences to her loving husband of over 20 years, Rick.

Bobbie Shelton was the founder and force behind the Background Actors Association New Mexico and the creator of the opportunity and resource group Casting Coffee.
