OBITUARY
Malcom
Shields
SHIELDS, MALCOM Born July 18, 1926 in Celina, Texas and passed away January 14,
2008. A World War II Veteran, Malcom was a long time resident of Carrollton. He
was an ordained deacon of the Baptist faith and a previous Chaplain for the
D.A.V.. He retired from Darr Equipment Company in 1991 where he was manager of
security. He is preceded in death by parents Buell and Ora Shields of Celina,
Brothers Gene Shields of Emory, and J. W. Shields of Irving. Malcom is survived
by his wife of 60 years, Mary Shields, three sons, Bill Shields and wife Shelia
of Sherman, Jerry Shields and fiancee Cindy Jarrett of Carrollton/Little Rock,
Carl Shields and wife Sherry of Carrollton. One daughter, Shirley Hoover and
husband Ken of Flower Mound. Ten Grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and
numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7-8pm at the
Rhoton Funeral Home on Friday Jan 18. Funeral services will be held at 11:30a.m.
Saturday Jan 19 at the Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Ronald
Morgan and Mark Dallalio officiating. Interment to follow at
Hilltop Memorial Park
Carrollton. Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kindey Foundation
