Ronald D. "Ron" Shoup
Services for Ronald D. "Ron" Shoup, 68, of Tyler, were held July 6 at Mount
Selman United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Milliton officiating. Burial
was at Hilltop Cemetery in
Carrollton, under direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Tyler.
Mr. Shoup died July 3, in Tyler.
He was born Nov. 26, 1937, in Udall, Kan., to the late Oliver and Beatrice Shoup.
He lived in Tyler since 1994. He was a building contractor and a member of Mount
Selman United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene
Miller Shoup; brother, Leland Shoup; and niece, Joyce Kunkle.
Survivors include his wife Sue Shoup of Tyler; sons, Steve Shoup of Chandler,
Tim Brown of Mount Selman; and David James of Tyler; daughters, Gail Jordan of
McAllester, Okla., Kathy Morton of Murfreesboro, Tenn., LaBrinda Moss of
Whitehouse, and Penny LaFaitt of Tyler; sisters, Olive Hooper of Manhattan,
Kan., and Norma Dean of California; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandsons; and
nieces and nephews.
