OBITUARY
 
Eddie Lane Simpson
August 6, 1948 - December 29, 2024
U.S. Veteran

Eddie Lane Simpson was born August 16, 1948 to Minnie Bell Simpson in Dallas, Texas. He received his formal education in Carrollton – Farmers Branch ISD where he graduated in 1966.

Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served our country.

He worked as a crane operator at Chapparel Steels for 13 years.

Eddie loved to watch westerns, loved the Dallas Cowboys and the open outdoors. He also had a love for electronic cars.

Eddie was a member of Open Door Community Church where he served on the Usher Board. Eddie will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Minnie Simpson; siblings, Jimmie Simpson, Billy Simpson, Benita Rose Sims and Alice Faye McLane; and one daughter, Alicia Gamble and one son, Barry Jackson.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 63 years Sharon Simpson; children, Anthony Jackson, Shannon Simpson and daughter in law, Shenikwa Simpson and Rachel Gamble; sister, Carolyn Brown; eleven grandchildren and 16 great
grandchildren and a host of loving relatives and friends.
