OBITUARY

Lee Roy Simpson

   Lee Roy Simpson Jr., 67, of Irving, a vocational teacher at Newman Smith High School, died Saturday, Dec 14, 1991, at Irving Hospital.
   Mr. Simpson was born June 7, 1924, in Valley Mills, a son of Lee Roy and Marzee Maberry Simpson Sr. He married Gretchen Slade Vosloh in 1949 in Houston. After 16 years' employment with Mobil Oil Co. as chief engineer, Mr. Simpson was employed 20 years with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II, attended Community Bible Church in Irving and was a member of Gideons International.
   He is survived by his wife, Gretchen, of Irving; two daughters, Amanda Williams of Dallas and Stephanie Simpson Haag of Sugarland; a sister, Helen Simpson of Keller; grandchildren Ariel and Trevor Williams and Ella Haag; and an uncle, Leonard Simpson of Valley Mills.
Memorial service was Dec. 17, at Community Bible Church, Irving, with the Rev. Tom Allen and the Rev. Homer Heater officiating. Burial was in the Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, under the direction of Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Irving.
