Claude D. Sims
Claude D. Sims, 82, of Denton died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1917, in Addison to Edd Dee Sims and Beaulah Bell Brady Sims. He married Atha Rue King Jan. 21, 1950, in Dallas.
He attended Carrollton High School. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He was the owner of American Cleaner in Denton from 1950 to 1979.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. The Rev. Cliff Feeler will officiate.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, in the Chapel of the Abbey Mausoleum at Restland Memorial Park with the Rev. William C. Crouch officiating.
Survivors include his wife of Denton; a sister, Nellie C. Pratt of Corinth; and a brother, Clyde E. Sims of Denton.
