LINDA LOUISE (Higgins) SMITH
Born March 28, 1947 in Saco, Maine. Died July 27, 2004. Graduated from Hamilton-Wenham Regional H.S., Hamilton, Mass class of 1965, also graduated front North Shore Community College, Beverly, Mass. Was a member of A.P. Jardner Post #194 American Legion Jr. Auxilliary in Hamilton, Mass.; school crossing guard for 11 years in the City of Farmers Branch; active with the Farmers Branch Senior Citizens for 3 years; volunteered for 8 years in the theater dept. at R.L. Turner High School, Carrollton, TX and was active for many years in the Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts. Linda was also a member of the Red Hat Peppers in Farmers Branch. She was founder & owner of LLS Seat Mender, a caning & whicker restoration company of Farmers Branch. She was predeceased by her parents Lillian & Raymond Higgins of Hamilton. Mass.; her grandparents Olive & Arnold Higgins & May White & Carl McLaughlin of Maine. She leaves her husband Daniel E. Smith; two Sons Alexander Smith of Nacogdoches, TX & Nathaniel Smith of Richardson, TX. She is also survived by two sisters Sandra (Higgins) Wyman & husband William of Dyer Brook, ME; Bonnie (Higgins) Maskery & husband Paul of Bristol, CT; one brother Barry Higgins & wife Donna, of Dyer Brooks, ME; her mother-in-law Peggy Smith of Abilene, TX; brother-in-law Mark Smith of West Tawakoni, TX and sister-in-law Laurie Nearing of Richland, WA. She also leaves several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, July 30, 2004 at 11:00AM at North Dallas Funeral Home. SACO – Linda Louise (Higgins) Smith died July 27, 2004. She was born March 28, 1947 in Saco. She graduated from Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, Hamilton, Mass., class of 1965. She also graduated from North Shore Community College, Beverly, Mass. Linda was a member of A.P. Jardner Post No. 194 American Legion Jr. Auxiliary in Hamilton, Mass. She worked as a school crossing guard for 11 years in the City of Farmers Branch, Texas. She was active with the Farmers Branch Senior Citizens for three years. Linda volunteered for eight years in the theater department at R.L. Turner High School, Carrollton, Texas, and was active for many years in the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
