SMITHEY
MARK D. born February 3, 1957, passed away October 3,1992, peacefully in his home after a five year valiant battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease. He is survived by a loving family, wife Marla Smithey, daughter, Natalee Smithey, parents Richard & Pat Smithey, brother & sister-in-law Gary & Karol Smithey, all of Mesquite, TX; sister & brother in law, Amy & Harris Underwood, Lubbock, TX, grandmother, Mrs. Grace Johnson Cedar Creek Lake. Mark was a 1974 [*notes] graduate of R. L. Turner High School, Carrollton, TX. He married Marla Davis of Longview, October 18, 1986. Mark was employed as an auto damage claims examiner with the Travelers Insurance Company at the time of his disability. Mark's love of life was the great outdoors. Services 12:-- Noon Tuesday, October 6, 1992, RESTLAND MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Chaplain Denny Burrus officiating. Interment Restland Memorial Park.
