OBITUARY
JANET SOUDERS, A devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a
blessed great-grandmother, she went to be with the Lord on January 10th. She was
born in Lancaster, PA on December 26, 1917 and was the youngest daughter of Adam
and Cecelia Pleger. People remember her as an energetic, fun loving, and
friendly child who had a great zest for life. Always giving, her time as a young
adult was spent helping to support her family and teaching Sunday School. She
married her soul mate, John Souders, November 23, 1940. Their love and
commitment to each other over 59 years was a great example to all of what
marriage can be and how two people can become one. Their children were the
center of their lives and recipients of a love and respect that they will
forever cherish and keep as a mainstay of their own lives. Janet will always be
remembered for her quick wit, deep love of family, unrelenting devotion to her
children and grandchildren, and belief in being honest and fair with people. She
was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn, and husband, John. Janet is
survived by her sister Gladys Dommel, brother John Pleger, her son John and his
wife Marilyn, her son Michael and his wife Lesa, grandchildren, John and his
wife Cathy, Amy, Wade, David and his wife Heather, and Paul and his fiancee
