OBITUARY

SPENCER
LARRY KEITH of Frisco, Texas, passed away on September 4, 1999. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Phyllis; daughter, Lynne Spencer Gerlach; sons R. Keith, Damon Wayne, Jeff Randall, and Derek Lane; grandchildren, Ryan Keith and Cameron Lee Spencer; Meredith Alyssa and Creighton Spencer Gerlach; daughter-n-law Elizabeth Ann and J. Diann Spencer; son-in-law William H. Gerlach; mother, Mytle Burns; and sister, Mona Biskamp. He was born February 18, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin 1958 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He began his career at Otis Engineering in the oilfields of Louisiana. In 1968, he founded Sigma Enterprises in Carrollton, Texas, an oilfield equipment manufacturer specializing in safety and anti-pollution automation systems for use worldwide. As President, he led the company in design and developed dozens of patented oil industry related products up until his death. He was a long-time resident of the Farmers Branch/Carrollton area and was active in many civic and youth-related activities. A memorial service will be held at St. Marks's School of Texas Chapel in Dallas on Thursday, September 9, 1999 at 5:00 pm. As this is not a graveside service, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be made in memory of Larry Keith Spencer to St. Mark's School of Texas at 10600 Preston Road, Dallas, Tx 75230.  214/363-6491
