Youth Killed

 A 15-year-old Farmers Branch youth was killed and another critically injured Saturday when their car, swerving to avoid a ditch on the unfinished portion of Interstate, 635 near Valley View Lane, rolled 130 feet down an embankment.

Scott Spradley of 13210 Veronica, who police said was driving the automobile, died in the emergency room at Parkland memorial Hospital at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, a spokesman for the Dallas County Medical Examiners Said.

The Spradley youth was thrown from the car, police said.

Boy Dies in Wreck

Fifteen-year-old Scott Eugene Spradley of Farmers Branch was killed Saturday in Irving in a one-car crash and another 15-year-old boy also in the crash was treated and released at parkland Hospital.
According to police, Spradley was driving his 1976 Chevrolet Malibu on the proposed section of I.H. 635 near Valley View Lane, travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes. he swerved to avoid a hole, according to the police report, and lost control of his car, rolling 133 feet down an embankment. Spradley was thrown from his car, and the passenger, Jeff Earl Taylor, was treated and released from Parkland Hospital for bruises, cuts, and abrasions.
Spradley was pronounced dead at Parkland by doctors at 5:45 p.m. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Briant Spradley of 13210 Veronica in Farmers Branch.
