Lawrence Benjamin Standifer

Lawrence Benjamin Standifer, 79 of Carrollton, died on March 15, 1996 in Carrollton. He was born on July 19, 1916 in Dallas. Mr. Standifer was employed at the Dallas Morning News for over 35 years, after retiring he drove a school bus for the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD for several years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mattie Lee Hanvey Standifer, Carrollton; children Jannice and Roy Self, Lewisville; Jim Standifer, Pagosa Springs, Colorado; Susan Campbell, Carrollton; Bobby Lawrence Standifer and Virginia Kollar, Carrollton; grandchildren, David James and Monica Self. Joanne Elise Campbell; sisters, Polly Barnes, Dallas; Juanita Mousner, Houston; several nieces and nephews; and his pet dog, Lucky.
Services were Tuesday, March 19, 1996 at Rhoton Chapel. Interment, Hilltop Memorial Park.
