OBITUARY ALMA STANDRIDGE BURIED TUESDAY
Many from Carrollton attended the funeral services Tuesday of Miss Alma
Standridge, the 16 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lige Standridge,
formerly of Carrollton. The trouble started with a carbuncle, which almost
healed and then developed infection and blood poison. Doctors could not save her
life and her suffering was intense until death brought relief. She was conscious
most of the time and talked with friends as best as she could with face
swelling. She was a beautiful girl and a consistent Christian and well liked.
She left friends in no doubt of her faith in eternal life after death. She was a
member of Bear Creek Baptist church and her pastor. Rev. W. S. McRight conducted
the last service. Many friends throughout this section sympathize and join
with the relatives in their sorrow.
