OBITUARY

Joyce T. Stephens
Tuesday, September 9th, 1930 - Saturday, November 18th, 2023

Services for Mary Joyce Thompson Stephens, 93, of Alba, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Sweet Fellowship Church, Yantis, with Bro. Perry Crisp officiating, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.

Interment will be in Grapevine Cemetery, Grapevine.

Mrs. Stephens passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at her residence in Alba.

She was born September 9, 1930, in Coppell, to William Manuel and Martha Elizabeth Reagan Thompson.

On March 10, 1951, she married Charles Henderson Wynn in Dallas. They were married for 47 years, before his death in 1998. She then married Bob Stephens on July 5, 2002, in Alba. Bob passed away April 10, 2010.

Joyce had lived in the Alba area since 2002. She and her husband Charles owned and operated Wynn Color Lab in Carrollton for 25 years. She taught Sunday School at Lake Fork Baptist Church for over 15 years. Joyce worked at Park Place Mercedes dealership in Dallas for over 10 years. She started out as a service greeter and worked her way up to the accounting department.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Wynn; husband, Bob Stephens; eight siblings, Belle Parrish, Georgia Maynard, Beatrice Irby, Margaret Griffin, Dorothy Hidgecoxe, Audy Thompson, Jack Thompson, and "Buddy" Thompson.

Survivors include her son, Mark David Wynn and wife Debbie of Edwardsville, IL; daughter, Martha Ann Mitchell and husband Jack of Alba; grandson, Sam Wynn of Edwardsville, IL; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Randy Plumlee, Mike Stephens, Rick Toynbee, Sam Wynn, Jack Mitchell, and Mark Wynn.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba.
