OBITUARY
 
Joyce Evelyn Stone
February 28, 1938 - December 9, 2019

Joyce Evelyn Stone of McKinney, Texas passed away December 9, 2019 at the age of 81. She was born on February 28, 1938 to Robert Lee Grimes and Mary Ella Elizabeth (Wells) Grimes in Dallas, Texas. Joyce grew up in Carrollton, Texas where she attended Carrollton High School. Joyce married Carl Stone on July 2, 1955 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She worked in the manufacturing industry which included International Paper, ESB Battery, and Simpson Strong-Tie where she held various positions. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and mamaw to her family. She was a kind, sweet, gentle person who enjoyed taking care of all the people she loved. Joyce especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, Carl.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Carl Stone of McKinney, Texas; son, Carl Stone, Jr. and wife, Twanya of Trenton, Texas; daughters, Sheryl Wyatt and husband, Phil of Van Alstyne, Texas and Debbie Tullos and husband, Steve of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kevin Tullos, Kristy Tullos, Jennifer Douglas, Phillip Wyatt, Kayla Tullos, Christopher Stone, Slater Stone, Brandon Stone and Carley Stone; five great-grandchildren; her precious dog, Sadie; brothers, Ray Grimes and wife, Judy of Denton, Texas and James Grimes of Trenton, Texas.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bryan Kevin Stone and Stephen Carl Stone; grandson, Jace Stephen Stone; brother, Charlie Grimes and sister, Millie Harrison.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
