STOOKEY Gail Arlene Stookey, age 55, of Westerville, celebrated her homecoming to Jesus Tuesday, June 2, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of New Life Church Gahanna, Greater Columbus Emmaus Community, Bible Study Fellowship, and YoungLife Adult Committee, as well as a volunteer for American Red Cross. Gail will be sadly missed by her husband of 31 years, Jim; daughters, Megan and Amanda; sister, Sharon (Steve) VanLaningham; and brother, Steven (Mai) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. The family thanks the many friends that provided her loving care and support through her long battle with breast cancer. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St., Westerville. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Church Gahanna, 3690 Stygler Rd., Gahanna. Pastor Steve Benninger officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the New Life Church Gahanna benevolence fund.
