OBITUARY

STORY
OSCAR DEWARD "O.D.", 70, passed away on October 21, 1998 in Texarkana, Texas.  He was born on April 13, 1928 in Coppell Texas. Mr. Story had lived in Dallas County most of his life until retirement from H&O Haggar Slack Co., he is the Great-Grandson of pioneer "Ike" Isaac Henry Story who had the general store and Post Office at Kit in the late 1800's and early 1900's at Kit, Texas which in 1904 became a part of Irving. He is survived by his wife: Sherry May Story of Avery, Tx., Daughter & Son-in-Law: Cynthia & Thomas Hall of Avery, Tx., Son & Daughter-In-Law James & Shannon Story of Cuthand, Tx., Daughter Diana Story of Dallas, Tx. Seven Grand Children: Thomas Alan Hall II, Karen Renee' Hall of Avery, Tx., Jerimiah & Heater Story of Cuthand, Tx., Daniel Wayne Pruiett of Irving, Tx., Joseph Everrett Pruiett of Dallas, Tx. Suzie Dee Dee Story of Dallas, Tx, Two Sisters: Gloria Mignone of Dallas, Tx, and Polly Timpe of Waxahachie, Tx., and One Brother: Jimmy Story of Irving, Tx. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 1998 at Chism & Smith Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Kit Cemetery, Irving, Tx. Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

OBITUARY

Oscar Deward Story

Oscar "O.D." Deward Story died Oct. 21 in Texarkana. He was 70.
Born April 13, 1928, in Coppell, he was a Dallas County resident most of his life until his retirement from H&O Haggar Slack Co.  He is the great-grandson of "Ike" Isaac Henry Story, who owned a general store and post office in the late 1800 and early 1900s.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry May Story of Avery; daughters, Cynthia and her husband, Thomas Hall of Avery, and Diana Story of Dallas; sons James and his wife Shannon Story of Cuthand, seven grandchildren, Thomas Alan Hall, II, Karen Renee' Hall of Avery, Jeremiah and Heather Story of Cuthand, David Wayne Pruiett of Irving, Joseph Everett Pruiett of Dallas, Suzie Dee Dee Story of Dallas; sisters Gloria Mignone of Dallas, and Polly Timps of Waxahachie; and brother, Jimmy Story of Irving.
Services were held Oct. 24, at Chism and Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Kit Cemetery in Irving.
