Patricia Stringfellow
1929 - 2024
Patricia (Pat) Stringfellow, 94, of Carrollton Texas, passed away
on January 17th 2024. Pat was born in Dallas Texas on April 2nd, 1929 to
Mike and Katy Brancato. She graduated from Carrollton High School where
she met Laverne Stringfellow. Pat and Laverne started dating in their
senior year and they were married a year later in 1947. They shared a
long and loving marriage of 55 years. Pat and Laverne were founding
members of Mary Immaculate Church in Farmers Branch where she worked as
the church secretary until 1960. Sometime later in the 1960's, she
worked for some years as a secretary for Vanbraughman Sony distributor.
She came out of retirement to work for a few months at Southwestern Bell
during a union strike to help keep the phones going. She enjoyed sewing,
baking, gardening, reading, and birdwatching. She and Laverne shared a
joy of RV camping and saw many wonders on the long camping trips through
the United States. She was also actively involved in Saint Joseph's
Guild at Mary Immaculate Church. Pat is preceded in death by her husband
Franklin Laverne Stringfellow, her father Mike Brancato and mother Katy
(Todaro) Brancato, her sister, Sister Doris Brancato, D.C. and her
sister Virginia. Pat is survived by son Mike Stringfellow and wife
Velinda, daughter Mary Kay Stringfellow, granddaughter Jessica
Edelhauser, grandsons Michael Stringfellow, Tony Stringfellow and wife
Ali, Aaron Stringfellow and wife Brenda, Joey Jenkins and wife Nicole,
and Sam Jenkins, and great grandchildren, Bailey Stringfellow, A.J.
Stringfellow, Madelyn Edelhauser, Cole Edelhauser, Bella Jenkins, John
Oliver Jenkins, and Callan Jenkins Chiaurro, as well as niece Katy and
husband Joel Padron and other family and friends. A visitation for Pat
is scheduled for Monday, January 22, 2024 at 10:30 am, with the Rosary
starting at 11:00 am directly followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 am at
Mary Immaculate Church 14032 Dennis Lane, Dallas Texas.
