OBITUARY
 
Cynthia Jane Sumrell
July 9, 1958 - July 2, 2018

Cynthia Jane Sumrell, 59, of Wichita Falls passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018.

Cindi was born on July 9, 1958 to Rufus and Betty (Brown) Browning in Sherman, Texas. In 1960, her family moved to Carrollton, Texas where she attended school and graduated from R.L. Turner High School. Cynthia met her high school sweetheart, John “J.D. Jay” Sumrell and they spent the next 33 years together until his passing in July 2010. She worked for several years as a secretary, and later at Patterson Auto Group. Cynthia has won several first place blue ribbons at the Texas State Fair for her talent in crocheting. She would crochet items for the Linus Project and Special Olympics. Cynthia enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and especially being “MiMi” to the grandchildren. She will truly be missed by family and friends.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, John Sumrell; and father, Rufus Browning.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Kloss and husband, Donal; mother, Betty Browning; sister, Linda Russell and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Jacob and Karlee; and several other family members.
