OBITUARY
Paul Harland
Sutton
August 7, 1946 - July 7, 2024
U.S. Veteran
Paul Harland Sutton, a dedicated and beloved husband, father, brother,
uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on July
7th. He was 77.
Paul began his career with a sense of duty, entering the Air Force
shortly after graduating from high school in Dallas. His commitment and
hard work earned him an Honorable Discharge at E4 rank after just three
years of service. Following his military tenure, Paul ventured into
sales before transitioning to the construction industry.
His career path eventually led him to become the Director of Physical
Plant at St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas, where his leadership and
expertise in facilities management made a lasting impact. Later, Paul
served as a Contract Administrator with Corgan Architects in Dallas,
overseeing the construction of several new schools in Frisco, Plano, and
surrounding areas.
After many years of dedicated service, Paul retired to the tranquility
of country life, finding joy in the simple pleasures alongside his
loyal, furry companion, Maggie Mae. Known for his playful spirit and
penchant for teasing, Paul brought laughter and warmth to all who knew
him.
Paul is survived by his wife, Melinda Sutton of Knollwood TX, daughter:
Jennifer Eubank of Bonham TX, son: Jason P. Sutton & wife, Shanna of
Euless TX.
Grandchildren:.Katie & husband, Cristian Posselt of Bonham TX, George
Calvin Martz, III of Bonham TX, Zachary P. Sutton & his sister, Sara D.
Sutton of Euless TX, great-grandchild: Gemm K. Posselt of Bonham TX,
sisters: Darlene McGee of McKinney TX and Donna Cody of Springfield MO.
His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who were
touched by his wit and kindness.
A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held at American
Funeral Service, 4312 W. Crawford St., Denison, TX. on Wednesday, July
10, 2024, 11:00 A.M. with Richard Gage officiating. Family and friends
visitation will be one hour prior to service, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
Paul's humor, love, and dedication to his family and work will be fondly
remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing
him. |
