OBITUARY
Retired Farmer's Burial Rites Held
Funeral services for John Taylor, 89, a retired Henderson County farmer, were
held Thursday at Love Field Baptist Church. Burial was in the Carrollton
Cemetery.
Taylor died Tuesday at the home of his niece, Mrs. D. J. Selridge, 1631 South
Fitzhugh.
He was born near Brownsboro, Henderson County, and had farmed all of his life.
He was a member of the Kemp, Kaufman County, Masonic Lodge and the Baptist
Church in Kemp.
Surviving are four sons, Tom Taylor of Athens; William Taylor, Kemp; Charles
Taylor, Poynor, Henderson County; and Sam taylor of Denison; two daughters, Mrs.
Claudia Miller and Mrs. Lena Teafatiller of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah
Persons, Teague, Freestone County; and Mrs. Annie Biles, Seattle, Wash.;
twenty-one grandchildren, and thirty-five great-grandchildren.
