OBITUARY

Memory of
Vang Xuan Thach
July 25, 1988 - November 14, 2013
Vang Thach lived a joyful, compassionate, and exemplary life before
passing away suddenly on November 14, 2013 at the age of 25.
Vang's father, Xuan Thach, was born in 1961 in Pol Leav Province,
Kampuchea Krom, now the southernmost portion of Vietnam. His mother,
Hong Lam, was born in 1962 in Battambang Province, Cambodia. His parents
met in 1986 in Thailand in a refugee camp called Site II.
Vang was born two years later on July 25, 1988 in another refugee camp
in the Philippines. Vang was the second of five siblings. His oldest
brother, Sang, was born in 1987 in Thailand. The third brother, Ty, was
born in 1993, and the fourth brother, James, was born in 1994, both in
Dallas, Texas. The youngest child, his sister Yanna, was born in 1996,
also in Dallas.
Vang graduated in 2007 from Creekview High School in Carrollton, Texas.
At age 20, Vang served faithfully for two years from August 2008 to
August 2010 as missionary in the Sacramento, California Mission for the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Vang cherished the time he spent with his family. He had a loving and
generous heart, and he was always giving to others. Vang is survived by
his parents, three brothers, sister, and many close friends who loved
him very much. His memory will continue to live on in our hearts.
Family will recieve friends Friday, November 22, 2013 from 7-9 pm at
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Carrollton,Texas (121 & Merchant Blvd)
4000 Nazarene Dr. Funeral Services will be held at 9 am Saturday,
November 23, 2013 at 9 am at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Carrollton, Texas. Burial will follow at
Furneaux Cemetery
