Claude has spent a great deal of time in the field of sports. He is a fine football and baseball player. He has especially enjoyed his mathematic classes and plans to work at home next year.

 

OBITUARY
 
Claude P. Thomas, 89, a longtime resident of Azle, passed away Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday in White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Interment: Azleland Cemetery. Claude P. Thomas, the son of Clifford and Gertrude Hodges Thomas, was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Coppell. He loved watching the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers. Claude was a Christian and reared his children in the Lord. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II in the 7th Cavalry. Claude was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, including his wife of 48 years, Iris Marie Thomas; two sisters; and two brothers. Survivors: Wife, Juanita Jo Thomas; daughters, Barbara Sullivan and husband, Tom, of Waco, Linda Henderson and husband, Bob, of Burleson; son, Jim Thomas and wife, Sherri, of Azle; two stepdaughters; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many friends and acquaintances.
