Betty was married to Homer Lee Thompson Jr. August 12, 1955.  Homer was a graduate of Carrollton High School Class of 1954.

Betty Jane Thompson
October 22, 1936 - July 2, 2013

Betty Jane Harris Thompson, 76, our beloved Jane passed from this life July 2, 2013. She was our strength and strength and joy.

Jane was born October 22, 1936 to a railroad family, in a Cotton Belt Railroad Section House in Grapevine, Texas. She was born the daughter of Mary and Jack Harris. Jane graduated from Carrollton High School, she married Homer Lee Thompson, Jr. on August 12, 1955.

Jane loved to travel and spent time in Germany. She also enjoyed trips to Colorado and New Mexico. She and her sister, Billie were always close friends and enjoyed great times together.

Jane was employed and retired from John Hancock Insurance Company.

Jane leaves behind a large, loving, family and many friends. Surviving family include Pam and Ed Black of Carrollton, Texas, Kim and Rex Chisum of Clovis, New Mexico, and Jeff, Angel and Lane Duncan of Addison, Texas.

Family will recieve Friends Friday, July 5, 2013 from 7-9 pm at Rhoton Funeral Home 1511 S. I 35 East (I-35 & Crosby) in Carrollton, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Rhoton Funeral Home at 1 pm with Burial following at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, Texas.
