OBITUARY
Mrs. Frankie Thompson Passed away Friday
Carrollton was saddened Friday morning when the news spread that
Mrs. Frankie Thompson had passed away at her home at 5 a.m. Funeral services
were held at the Christian Church. Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. S. E.
Wilkin, who was assisted by the other ministers of the town. Burial was made by
the side if her babes who had passed away before.
Mrs. Thompson was born January 5, 1897, near Lewisville and moved
to Carrollton eighteen years ago and attended the Carrollton school and
churches. She was always a favorite with her classmates and friends. She was
married to Frankie Thompson June 24, 1916, and to this union three children was
born, two of them only lived a few hours until they were taken to a better world
to live. She was a member of the Christian church and lived a clean, pure life,
consolations in every act she did.
She took a pride in her home and was as ideal mother and wife. Her
place in the home can never be fill, and at times like this we wonder what the
plans of the Devine Ruler can be, but know that it must be for the best or He
would never take a mother from her child and wife from her husband just in the
prime of her life.
The pall bearers were Ray and Elmer Thompson, Allen and Marian
Good, Clyde and Leslie Mays. Misses Ruby and Pearl Thompson, Ruby Smith, Freda,
Christine and Blondie Mays acted as flower girls. The Christian church could not
hold all those who came to pay their last respects to this friend they loved so
well.
