OBITUARY

Carrollton Farmer Dies At Home of 60 Years

Richard M. Thompson, 83, died Tuesday at the farm home a mile north of Carrollton, where he had lived more than sixty years.
Mr. Thompson was Justice of the Peace at Carrollton until he resigned about ten years ago. He had been farming in the community since he went there from Georgia as a young man.
Eleven children survive him. They are I. M. Thompson, C. B. Thompson, G. L. Thompson, E. L. Thompson, W. M. Thompson, Mrs. Sarah Butler, Mrs. Mattie Long, Mrs. Bessie Moncrief, Mrs. Fannie Patrick, Miss Maggie Thompson and Mrs. Jack Ogle.
