Choreographer
Judy Trammell is the highly acclaimed choreographer for the elite Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleaders organization. A native of Dallas and a graduate of R.L. Turner High
School, she has accumulated an impressive resumé of dance credentials with
dedicated training in the following areas -- jazz, tap, drill team and pompom.
After wearing the prestigious star-spangled uniform for the Dallas Cowboys
Cheerleaders and cheering on the sidelines of Texas Stadium from 1980 to 1984,
Trammell was one of the first alumni to join the organization in the role of
assistant choreographer in 1984. In 1991, she was promoted to head choreographer
and assumed the full-time duties of instructing and training the squad.
Her responsibilities include developing cutting edge routines for sideline and
pre-game performances at all Dallas Cowboys home games; producing show-stopping
stage routines for the multi-talented DCC show group which travels
internationally to perform at USO tours around the world and back home for
corporate sponsors and clients; and directing and choreographing nationally
televised halftime productions with up to 1,000 cast members.
Trammell's experiences both on and off the field have contributed to her success
as a choreographer for the DCC organization. Her critical eye and attention to
detail have been instrumental in elevating America's sweethearts to a world
class organization that is emulated throughout the NFL. Her passion for dance,
the squad and DCC is apparent in the high quality productions she produces for a
worldwide audience.
Her resumé of work includes choreography for nationally televised programs
including Jerry Lewis and Variety Club telethons; television specials - NFL
Monday Night Football, Salute to Lady Liberty, Nashville Palace, CMT's Making
The Team; Thanksgiving halftime extravaganzas for Clint Black, Reba McEntire,
Randy Travis, LeAnn Rimes, Toby Keith, Creed, Jessica Simpson, Destiny's Child,
Sheryl Crow and Carrie Underwood; music videos for MC Hammer and Toby Keith; DCC
appearances on Phil Donahue, Geraldo Rivera, Montel Williams, Saturday Night
Live, Harry and the Hendersons, Hard Knocks, Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, The
View; special DCC concert appearances for the Oak Ridge Boys, Sammy Davis Jr.,
Neal McCoy and Journey; the NBC Academy of Country and Western Music Awards; the
Miss Texas Pageant; big screen appearances in Dr. T and the Women and
Invincible.
Judy Trammell has been married to Dick Trammell since 1978 and is the proud
mother of three children -- Taylor, Cassie, and Blair. She and her family reside
in Garland, Texas.
