OBITUARY

Z. E. TURNER, 84, died Thursday, May 21, in the home of his son, R. L. Turner, superintendent of Carrollton Schools.

Services were held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Carrollton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Conner and Rev. Thomas Guinn officiating.

Turner, a native of Fairburn, Ga., moved to Texas as a young man. He lived nearly Tyler for 30 years and for the last 16 years lived in Duncanville and Carrollton.

Turner is survived by his sons, R. L. Turner; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Calvert of Denton and Mrs. Faye Shepard of Stillwell, Okla.; five brothers, W. F. Turner, Plainview, Ark.; R. E. Turner, Chandler, Henderson County; Kirksey Turner, Troup, Smith-Cherokee Counties; L. M. Turner, Tyler, and Floyd Turner, Dover, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Reed of Russellville, Ark., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Rhoton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The deceased was buried in Chandler, Henderson County.
