Fred "Freddy" Urias
SEPTEMBER 23, 1959 – MARCH 31, 2022

IN THE CARE OF
Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery
Fred “Freddy” Urias peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on March 31st, 2022.
Fred was born in Dallas, Texas on September 23rd, 1959 to Martha Walbert and Fernando Urias. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School. On August 8th, 1992 Fred married his best friend Sherri Urias. A few years later, they welcomed their two children Kyle and Katlyn Urias who became the center of his life. His children were his pride and joy.

Fred had a very successful career in Sales. His motivated sales personality transformed over to the soccer mentor he became. He instilled the love for the game and the love for life throughout the soccer community.

The soccer field was his happy place. From the young age of 5, he was playing competitive soccer. From there, he has played, coached, and officiated thousands of games all around the DFW area. Fred touched the lives of many in the community. May he be remembered for his contagious laugh, big smile, loud voice, and devotion for the game.

Fred deeply loved his family. He treasured every second with his 2 children, the mother of his children, parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Spinner Family. He is now reunited with his brother, grandmother, and aunt in Heaven

A memorial will be held at Foro Sports Club on Saturday, April 9th at 5pm. 14725 Preston Road Dallas, Texas 75254.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to The Fred Urias Foundation. The proceeds will provide scholarships to young soccer players as Fred recognized the importance of team sports to instill self-confidence and build friendships that last a lifetime.
